Hatch vs Go High Level

Explore the differences between Hatch and Go High Level through customer insights, highlighting Hatch's advanced automation and centralized dashboard benefits.

We recently asked a Hatch customer to provide their take on the differences between Hatch and Go High Level, as they have used both platforms. Here were the key takeaways from the discussion.

  • Go High Level does not offer the same level of advanced automation as Hatch.
      • “I think Go High Level has a kind of like a good foundation step, but it is a little bit more rudimentary than Hatch, especially now that Hatch offers AI CSRs through text and voice and having all of that integrated."
  • Go High Level does not offer a centralized dashboard for all lead sources
      • “I'm not a big fan of Go High Level, primarily because our Go High Level accounts are offered for free by the vendors we were using, but they won't let us consolidate into one account."
      • “So managing three different accounts is a lot of work and it just creates another pipeline for me to have to look through. And so for me, Hatch really was a way for me to bring it all into one place.”
      • “Like, Angi doesn't use High Level, they use their own dashboard. Each lead vendor has their own dashboard, so I’ve got all these different dashboards and it's just kind of ridiculous. I really wanted one central dashboard that I could control and stay on top of, without having to switch back and forth between lead sources every day.”
      • “So it's not a dashboard. It's literally just one dashboard each for each specific vendor.”
  • Go High Level has limited automations
      • “So if you wanted all your lead sources to be in one place, you could create your own Go High Level account, but then you'd have to work it all yourself because again, there's not that automation. So like right now in my Go High Level, we have over 400 leads in there. We’d have to work and status those manually, whereas they're already in Hatch being worked automatically and the data is going back to ServiceTitan.”
      • “In Hatch right now, we have separate campaigns for our Systemize Media leads, our Angi leads, our website leads, and they’re all being worked automatically. It’s not manual.”
  • Go High Level does not have self-serve options
    • “You can customize columns and create campaigns just like in Hatch, but you can’t do it on your own. We had to reach out to our vendor for all of that. I'm like, man, I don't want to have to keep reaching out and asking, hey, can you do this? Can you do that? Can you send out this mass message to people that meet all this criteria?”
  • GHL has limited support
    • “Let's say you get your own Go High Level account. You might be able to consolidate all your lead sources into one dashboard, and you can run drip campaigns, but I'm not sure who provides the support to help you actually do the integrations. Because for us it was all done through our lead vendor working with Hatch, not Go High Level, so I don’t know who would set it up.”
    • “For everything you want to do, you have to call someone and have a conversation with them, and I’m just trying to get a campaign out to people ASAP to scrounge up business during the slow season.”
  • There is no bi-directional CRM sync with Go High Level
      • Plus the fact that Go High Level doesn't sync up with ServiceTitan.”
      • It's also worth noting that a different Hatch customer had previously paid an agency $10,000 to build out some triggered communication between Go High Level and ServiceTitan, using Zapier. In addition to the hours and money it took to build, the setup cost a monthly fee to maintain.
      • These complex setups break easily, are difficult to scale, and run the risk of sending the wrong message to the wrong person. The time spend on upkeep and troubleshooting cancels out any time saved with the automation.
      • “If you're communicating with somebody in Go High Level, that information doesn't go back to ServiceTitan, whereas in Hatch it does. It shows up in the contact record in ServiceTitan.”
      • “So because High Level doesn't talk to ServiceTitan, I have to manually status where the jobs are. I have to manually attribute a dollar amount for that lead source as well to be able to say, oh, yeah, this is a good lead source or not a good lead source.”
      • “And then you get the vendors calling and asking you to status the leads, but it’s not for our sake, it’s for their so they can give themselves a pat on the back. But I already know which lead sources are converting because I can see that in Hatch, so they’re asking me to do double the work.
  • Even with free Go High Level accounts, Hatch is the preferred central dashboard
      • “So Go High Level comes free when you buy media or leads from vendors. That's how the vendor does their tracking. So the Go High Level account I have is just because it comes free with Systemized Media, but I don’t use it for anything. All my Systemized Media campaigns are built into Hatch. Same with Scorpion and all of my other lead sources. It just makes more sense for me to use Hatch which is a legitimate dashboard for all my lead sources.”
  • GHL does not offer AI CSRs
      • “In Go High Level, even if you do get leads to populate in there, well now you’ve got to be sitting there, hovering and babysitting so you can intercept every lead that comes in. There's not an AI sitting there like you have in Hatch, having conversations and sifting through leads to identify what makes sense for us to spend our time on."
      • "Our AI will handle the conversations on small-ticket items like $29 tune-ups so my sales guys can focus on the big ticket items. And if it identifies a big ticket customer, it will pass that lead off to one of my sales guys."
  • GHL defeats the purpose of using automation
    • "One of my past vendors that uses Go High Level, was telling me to hire someone for $20 something an hour to filter through leads all day, that one of their clients is doing that and seeing XYZ return. I was like, that defeats the whole purpose of me wanting to use automation."
    • "I want to keep the team lean and condensed and I want to use the tools to help work smarter, not harder. And you're telling me add on headcount and that's the only way we'll actually be able to get the value of all these leads that you're sending through?”
    • “So they were telling me to hire somebody to follow up with leads that haven't booked, to follow up with estimates that haven't closed, to basically do all that outreach, which is what I came to learn is Hatch can, and does, automate for us.”
    • “And the AI also takes those leads that come in after hours.”
