We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, prompting AI isn’t an easy or intuitive task for many. You have to be clear and concise with your interaction prompts and make sure the AI knows what to look for in a response. But your bots will break if one of those interactions is off-key. So how can you be sure all of the prompts work together in harmony?
Our new feature, the Conflict Analyzer, is how! This new feature is built into the Hatch Assistant bot builder and helps you ensure your prompts mesh well so you can create better Hatch bots that behave correctly, take your customers through your sales funnel, and save you time.

Since Hatch AI bots text directly with your contacts, giving your bots proper instructions is crucial. We provided you with the AI Analyzer to help you write those instructions in a way that makes sense to your Hatch AI bots. The only problem is, just because one set of instructions reads well for AI doesn’t mean it will mesh well with the others.
In other words, you may have prompts that are graded as “Excellent” by themselves that conflict with a Rule or prompt elsewhere in your bot’s instructions. This can “break” your bot and cause it to say or do the wrong things. That’s where the Conflict Analyzer comes into play.
The Conflict Analyzer examines all of your global and regular interactions as a whole—including the Question, Validation, Rule, and Output prompts—and tells you if they will cause a conflict with each other as well as the reasons why. This way, you can adjust the rules or prompts to ensure your Hatch bot behaves correctly.
When your Hatch AI bots are properly prompted without any confusion, they can conduct the most effective and meaningful conversations with your customers. Our Conflict Analyzer increases the accessibility of our AI offering for you and will help you create Hatch bots that are irreplaceable assets that support your business goals!
Have you ever finally gotten to the finish line of a long project, only to realize that there was a mistake? We’ve all been there. That’s what makes the Conflict Analyzer such a great tool. It’s the “second set of eyes” to check on your Hatch bot interaction and rule prompts. Here are some benefits the Conflict Analyzer has that will make your job easier:
Together, the Conflict Analyzer and AI Analyzer will help you maximize the full potential and benefits of Hatch AI. The better the bots you build, the better results you can see with team productivity, customer experience, and engagement rates.
When you create a bot, go to the “Chatbot Configuration” panel and select the “Interactions” tab. There you can create Interactions and Rules that instruct your bot on what information to collect and what to do with that information. Once you’ve finished creating those Interactions (and checking them with the AI Analyzer!), you’ll see “Check for Conflicts” at the top of the tab.
Click “Check for Conflicts” and you’ll see a panel open on the right hand side of the screen. The Conflict Analyzer will quickly scan your Rules, Interactions, and other prompts for conflicts and let you know what needs to be fixed.
If you do have conflicting Rules or prompts, you’ll see the conflict, where the conflict is located within the Interactions, and what the Interactions conflicts with. The reasoning is then explained in detail. The panel also allows you to click directly into the conflict to do edits more quickly. It looks something like this:
If you have no conflicting prompts or rules, you’ll get a message that says “Zero conflicts!”
This is what you’re striving to see! You can feel confident in publishing your bot once you see the “Zero conflicts!” message.
